One History, Two Perspectives#01 – Motion  He can feel it in the memories of war, the memories of Denmark—the undulation of the waves beneath ships, the wind whipping past a charger, the rapid diffusion of their cultures.   
#02 – Cool  “You always look so cool, Norge,” and Norway doesn't know what aspect about him Denmark is referring to (face, temperament, visage), but he doesn't particularly care.   
#03 – Young  Norway never really did have a chance to be young; Denmark was sure of that, as he raced around the world demonstrating how to dominate the weak with his good cheer.

A Secret and an Answer - UKUSAbove in the great green bowl of tree leafs, birds sit about, singing a wordless tune.   
Alfred, lying on the grass with limbs spread out, is sure that there is some secret code that the birds are singing in that, because they are what they are, all countries should know. Reaching toward the shifting leaves, he reaches a tiny hand up, squints, and pretends that he can capture some kind of hint in his palm. Then he brings his catch – invisible – back to earth, centimetres from his face. He smiles and waits, because if he hopes hard enough he can feel a quiver between his tender fingers.

It is surely not the most remarkable thing in that castle—how could it be, when there are so many terrifying wonders?---but there is a certain room that even the stoutest of the world's fiends are loath to approach. As far as location goes, there is nothing remotely particular. It merely lies down one of the numerous craggy, twisting corridors. It is not hidden away, it is not in the highest turret, it is not set off in the farthest battlement.  
 
It is not a peculiar room by any means, though these days it does house a nominal treasure.

So.

Like. Hetalia has taken over that one part of my life that hasn't been taken by school and newspaper. Which I guess helped a bit, since today on our WWII test (the last one of the semester, thanks be!) I got a minus 3 out of 85, which is pretty darn high. Though I know it was just not comics that helped me -- it was actually reading Truman that helped a great deal, as well as lots of bits of random research I have been doing lately.

...Some of which is for Hetalia. Bah. Well, I'll put it this way: because of research for Hetalia fanfiction, I now know more about Scandinavia then I will ever, ever need to know.

Også, jeg lært noen norsk. Kanskje.

Um, on a more serious note I think that my family is insane. And so disparate and just ew...I've been thinking about it more and more, and if it means being in debt for a decade or so, it's totally worth it. Out-of-state college, that is.
