Wow, it has been a long time since I have updated. I just don't do dA very well, apparently.

There are so many things I could write about, but I think I'll pass. Instead, this:

Thanks to some responses to a meme on my LJ, I was inspired to read through something I wrote a while ago titled "Iridescence". I cringed and laughed at my typos and general stupidity, but I also got really, really nostalgic since...well, so much has changed since then, but, um...I think that at the time I really managed to write one or two passage that were way more mature than I was at the time. Also,I was expecting to go back and hate my writing, but I didn't. Instead, I slowly relaxed and realised that my writing was...okayish. Or something like that, since I wasn't utterly repulsed by it, just a bit embarrassed.

So. I think I am going to return to some of that simplicity. My writing wasn't very elegant--and I need to watch out for some of those words I used because dear god they are clunkers!--but it was...simple in an okay way. I want that again. I have some ideas about what to do with this, I believe.

On a slightly related tangent, I think my drama streak started when I wrote "Threads," and it has kind of gone downhill from there.

And I should be asleep, now.
